Step-by-step interior design
1. Show Us Your Room
Getting started is easy! Use our iOS app to quickly scan your room or upload photos to our site. Don’t worry about clearing out the clutter, we’ll take care of that virtually. Then we’ll get to work and turn your photos into an exact, to-scale 3D version of your room.
2. Help Us Get to Know You
Interior design is personal so we want to get to know you, your space, and anyone else (kiddos, pets, partners) who lives there. Take our style quiz and tell us more details about your room, budget, and lifestyle. Once we have all your info, our designers will get to work creating designs you’ll love.
3. Get Your First Design
Let the fun begin! Our designer will send you an interactive, 3D version of your exact room. You’ll see an immersive view of layout and design ideas for your space.
We even include a bird’s eye and 360 degree view of your designs so you can see them from every angle.
4. Work With Our Designers to Make Changes
Your first designs are just the starting point. From there, you can continue to work with your Modsy designer to try new layouts or furniture styles until you’re 100% happy.
If you’d prefer to explore on your own, you can use our one-of-a-kind swap feature to see new pieces in your room in just a few seconds.
5. Shop Your Designs With Confidence
Once you land on a design you love, shop your whole look (or just the parts you love) in one easy checkout. We offer exclusive discounts too, so you’ll always get the best deal on top of already-best prices.
Our dedicated order management team will coordinate all your purchases and any returns or exchanges. We’ll keep you up-to-date on the status of all your items so all you have to do is get excited for your new room!

We know designing a home is a very personal experience and that everyone's style is unique. That's why we offer unlimited design revisions so you'll be sure to land on a design you love (or your money back).
You can let your designer know what changes you'd like to see directly from your designs by clicking on the "Request Changes" button. Once you submit your request, you're designer will get to work on making the changes.
We know designing within your budget is important. After you sign up, your designer will ask you some questions to better understand how much and where you want to spend your budget. They’ll take that information into account when designing your room, so your designs will show you furniture and decor in the price ranges you’ve indicated.
On top of that, as a Modsy customer, you’ll get access to exclusive discounts only available here. That means you can save $100s on top of retailers’ best prices.
Our design delivery times range from 2-3 weeks. Once you submit your project, your designer will give you an exact delivery date for your project. Want your designs faster? Select the design package you want and at checkout you’ll have the option to upgrade to expedited delivery to get your designs in only 7 days.
Yes, we’re more than happy to include pieces you already own in your designs. Once you purchase a package, we’ll ask you a series of questions about your room and you’ll be able to tell your designer if there are pieces you want to include in your designs.
We currently offer two ways to include pieces you already own in your design. At no cost to you, our design team can find stand-ins for up to 3 of your piece(s) from our 3D catalog (think a look-alike piece that’s a close match in color/size/shape). Alternatively, for a small fee of $25/item our team will build a custom 3D model of your exact piece so you can see how it will look and fit in your room alongside new furniture and decor.
